We at SPIN Earth have been proud to partner with John Varvatos USA and Island Records as we scoured the planet for the next great rock n' roll band. We received hundreds of entries from around the globe. Take a look for yourself by clicking the "bands" tab on the right. There were many amazing entries!

The finalists were flown to New York City during Fashion Week in September 2009, and each band played before a prominent audience at John Varvatos 315 Bowery (the former CBGB space). John Varvatos and a panel of rock star judges selected the overall winner from the impressive finalists (click on "finalists" tab on right to see the bands).

Congratulations to Reckless Sons for winning the contest, and thank you to all bands for your participation in FREE THE NOISE. Reckless Sons will receive a development deal with Island Records, will be featured on SPIN Earth, and will participate in a photo shoot for a John Varvatos USA ad campaign.
