Not since Black Flag, has punk rock been this political and this good at the same time. Rising from Chicago's punk scene in the late 90's, Rise Against came to be as the first Bush administration tore through civil liberties, international relations, human rights, environmental issues, and all things important to the band. G.W. only enraged the internal fire even more so. With Obama in office, lead singer Tim McIlarth finds himself waking up a little easier these days, but that doesn't mean the band is going the way of Green Day. The boys are on a mission to put the US through global rehab.
